Rev. Edwin Rideout
Lead Pastor
edwinrhoda@gmail.com

Edwin has spent the last fourteen years as a Pastor in the Pentecostal Assemblies of NL & Canada. He has pastored three of the finest churches in the country. Having served fourteen years in managerial roles with an engineering firm and the province of NL he brings a wealth of administrative ability to his congregation. He commenced his ministry at the Pentecostal Assembly of Fort McMurray in September of 2008. Edwin is married to the lady of his dreams, Rhoda and together they are parents to three adult children.

Edwin is known for his energy and passion; both in the congregation and the community. His preaching and teaching is forthright and down to earth; the cry of his heart is for people to discover Christ and grow in discipleship-life.

His one weakness is his hope that the Toronto Maple Leafs will win the Stanley Cup before the rapture of the Church.

Rev. Kenneth Oppon
Pastor International Missions

Kenneth is a passionate man of God; with over twenty years experience in pastoral ministry both in West Africa and in Canada. Kenneth is committed to revival and evangelism.

While pastoring in Sierra Leone, West Africa Kenneth was captured by rebels during the notorious civil war at the end of the last decade and held captive for several months; his life was preserved by divine intervention. As result of that ordeal he was separated from his family for five years; then reunited. The Oppons lived the reality retold in the infamous flick 'The Blood Diamond'.

Kenneth will assist Pastor Edwin in ministering to the growing International Constituency at the Pentecostal Assembly of Fort McMurray and provide strategic leadership to our assembly as we intentionally engage the growing international constituency of our city.

Rev. Rhoda Rideout
Care & Growth Pastor
rhodaedwin@gmail.com

Rhoda has served alongside her husband for fourteen years in pastoral ministry. Her primary passion is to see individuals introduced to Christ and assisting them as they grow in maturity and the knowledge of Christ. Rhoda is convinced that it is all about relationship; it's about intentionally living life in a manner that leads lost individuals into relationship with people who have a relationship with God. And with God, nothing is impossible! D.L Moody once said, "the world has yet to see what a man or woman completely sold out to God can do for Him."

Having trained in the field of Executive Office Administration, Rhoda brings tremendous organizational and relational skills to her role as Care & Growth pastor at PAOFM. If you have a 'talent' - and you all do - she will spot you in a crowd and before you know it you'll be engaged in Kingdom service.

Rev. Robert Lodge
Young Adult / Senior Youth Pastor

Pastor Rober Lodge graduated from Master's Collete and Seminary (formerly Eastern Pentecostal Bible College) in Peterbourgh, Ontario in April of 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor of Theology (Honors), with a Youth Major. Pastor Rob entered into full time ministry, along with his wife, Pastor Lorelei, in August of 2003. Since that time, he has held three positions: Youth Pastor, Stoneville, NL (Aug 2003 - July 2004), Youth Pastor, Triton (July 2004 - July 2006) and Youth and C.E. Pastor, Port de Grave (August 2006 - July 2009).

Vision Statement: "To help connect youth and young adults to God in his three persons and foster spiritual growth by providing ministry that involves the five biblical purposes of the Church (Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Service and Evangelism), thus making an eternal impact for the kingdom of God."

Philosophy of Ministry: In our quest to minister effectively in the eyes of God, there are three essential components that should be evident in our ministry as we follow the example of Christ. First of all, effectve ministry is about being RELATIONAL. We are not called to mininster to church buildings but to people. We are Christ's under-shepards who minister to the believer (Ephesioans 4:11-12), as well as the unbeliever (Luke 19:10; Mark 16:15). Secondly, effective ministry is about being RELEVANT. Jesus was relevant to the culture he was in. As he spoke, he used down to earth parables to relate deep theological messages. We must keep in mind that the message never changes, but the methods change. The church must be relevant to the culture it is trying to reach. Thirdly, effective ministry is about being REAL. Jesus was real with those around him. Jesus walked right into the lives of people and ministred to them as they were. We must put away pride, and wear a robe of humility and become a servant just like He did.

Favorite Quote: Billy Graham's response to President Richard Nixon's statement that "the greatest moment in history was when man walked upon the moon". He said, "No! The greatest moment in history was not when man walked on the moon, but when God walked on the earth."

Pastor Dawn McPherson Herman
Director of Music & Worship

dawnling1@gmail.com

Dawn's love for singing began before she could talk! She was encouraged by her pastor at the young age of 3 to sing for the Lord; and has faithfully done so through good and bad times. Those who have worshipped with Dawn quickly realize her passion is to lead people to the throne room of God.

As a teenager she participated in many youth events and conventions; often receiving awards for her ministry. As a young adult, she studied music as Music Education major at Evangel University in Springfield, MO, USA. Dawn has ministered in her home church as a soloist; lead the choirs and served as the lead Minister of Worship.

She has recorded two worship albums: Give Me Jesus (2000) and Bless His Name - Live in Montreal (2005), and has been an invited worship leader and singer to many women retreats, conferences and churches in Canada and the U.S.

Dawn has lived in Montreal since a young girl and has enjoyed the multicultural experience of her beloved city and her home church. She is fluent in English, French and is currently studying German.

We are excited that Dawn has joined the pastoral team at PAOFM on May 25th.

Rev. Lorelei Lodge

Together they have served three congregation in Newfoundland; Triton, Stoneville and Port De Grave. At first encounter Lorelei appears shy; however, a few minutes into a conversation one discovers that she is very chatty and confident. She likes to identify gifted and anointed individuals, placing them on the front-lines of ministry.

Her greatest desire is summed up in the words of a Charlie Hall Song “All of life comes down to just one thing and that’s to know you Oh Jesus and make you known”.  She longs to see children and junior highs encounter God in ways they have never dreamed possible. Then for them to be discipled to carry out the great commission!
